Drontal Allwormer Chewable for Medium Dogs

Drontal Chewables are tasty chewables made from real liver that treat your dog for all major species of gastrointestinal worms including roundworm, hookworm, whipworm and tapeworm. They also controls shedding of Giardia oocysts.

Dogs are constantly exposed to intestinal worms, even before they are born. Some species of worms can transfer to puppies through the placenta or from their mothers milk, while adult dogs are exposed to worm larvae or eggs through the soil in parks and backyards. Puppies under 6 months of age need to be wormed more frequently than adults as they produce large numbers of worm eggs and are particularly susceptible to infestation. Unwormed puppies are at risk of developing gastrointestinal problems like diarrhoea and vomiting, poor growth, anaemia and even death. To avoid this they should be wormed every 2 weeks from 2 to 12 weeks of age, then monthly until they are at least 6 months old. Adult dogs require treatment for worms at least every 3 months.

Safe for treatment of puppies from 2 weeks of age, as well as lactating females. Pregnant females should only be treated 10 days before whelping. Does not control heartworm.

Each tablet contains Praziquantel 175mg, Pyrantel 174.4mg as embonate, Febantel 875mg

Directions

• Weigh your dog before treatment.

• Give Drontal in a single dose.

• Treatment with Drontal does not require fasting.

• Drontal is given as a single dose.

• Administer directly into the mouth or mix it with food and give.

Drontal Oral Suspension

• Shake bottle well before use.

• Give as a single dose by mouth using the enclosed dosing syringe.

• Fasting prior to dosing is not necessary.

Dosage:

1ml per 1 kg bodyweight.

For puppies:

Treat at 2, 4, 8, 12 weeks, then 4, 5, 6 months of age.

For Adults:

Treat at every 3 months.

Treat at every 6 weeks in hydatid infested locations.

For pregnant or lactating bitches:

Treat prior to mating, 10 days before whelping and 2 and 4 weeks after whelping.

Before starting treatment consult your vet. Give dosage according to your vet’s directions.
